About

We cut stories, not seconds.

Most clipping tools slice a long video at intervals and hope something lands. RealHedgehog reads the transcript like an editor would — looking for the hook, the tension and the payoff — and cuts where the thought actually finishes.

The problem we started with

A two-hour podcast contains maybe fifteen genuinely good moments. Finding them means scrubbing the timeline, and cutting them means caring about where a sentence begins and ends. Automated tools mostly skip that part: they take a 30-second window, burn captions onto it and call it a clip. The result opens mid-sentence and stops before the point lands.

That is the piece we spent our time on. The analyser scores every candidate segment on how self-contained it is, not just how loud or fast it is, and discards the ones that only make sense with the surrounding hour.

How it works

What we believe

Your footage is yours

No watermark on paid plans, no licensing conditions, no claim over anything you upload or anything we produce from it. Download the clips or have them delivered to Drive or S3.

Pricing should match the work

We charge for a video, not for its minutes. A one-hour podcast costs the same single credit as a ten-minute one, because that is how creators actually think about their output. It also means we are the wrong choice for some people — if you only clip short videos, per-minute tools are cheaper, and we say so on our comparison page rather than letting you find out on your invoice.

Speed is a feature, not a boast

A clip posted a week after the moment is a clip nobody sees. The pipeline runs on parallel workers so a long recording becomes a full set of clips in minutes.

Multilingual by default: transcription detects the source language automatically, so RealHedgehog clips Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Arabic, Hindi and Indonesian video as readily as English.
